What is ART?
The Advanced Rescue Training (ART) course is the GWO standard training on emergency rescue missions in WTG environment. ART certifies the acquistion of the knowledge and skills requiered to rescue an injured person in each one of the different sections of a WTG.

Requirements
In order to enrol in any of the ART courses, you must have a valid certificate of the following Basic Safety Training modules:
BST Working at Heights Module
or BST Working at Heights Refresh
BST First Aid Module
or BST First Aid Refresh
BST Manual Handling Module
or BST Manual Handling Refresh
Refresher courses
After two years, you can maintain your certifications in Advanced Rescue Training valid by taking a refresher course
ART Courses
Advanced Rescue Training is a certification that consists of 4 different courses, depending on the different sections of the WTG where the rescue mission takes place, and depending on the type of wind turbine installation. ART courses can be taken together, as the ART Combined, or separately. Participants that complete the four courses will receive four certicates. In addition, there is a refresher course for the ART H and ART N modules.
Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade Rescue
Content: train participants in determining rescue strategies and performing rescue missions in the hub, spinner and inside blade sections of a WTG, using the standard protective equipements and correct methods and techniques. The skills trained in this module are more advanced than those learnt in the WAH module of BST.
Hours: 7 hrs
Validity: 24 months
Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue
Content: train participants in determining rescue strategies and performing rescue missions in the nacelle, tower and basement sections of a WTG, using the standard protective equipements and correct methods and techniques. The skills trained in this module are more advanced than those learnt in the WAH module of BST.
Hours: 14 hrs (2 days)

Single Rescuer – Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade
Content: train participants in determining single rescuer rescue strategies and performing rescue missions in the hub, spinner and inside blade sections of a WTG, using the standard protective equipements and correct methods and techniques for single rescuer scenarios. The skills trained in this module are more advanced than those learnt in the WAH module of BST.

Single Rescuer – Nacelle, Tower & Basement
Content: train participants in determining single rescuer rescue strategies and performing rescue missions in the nacelle, tower and basement sections of a WTG, using the standard protective equipements and correct methods and techniques for single rescuer scenarios. The skills trained in this module are more advanced than those learnt in the WAH module of BST.
